This is a commissioned artwork agreement template, designed to govern the legal relationship between a publisher (or other person commissioning artwork) and a graphic artist (such as an illustrator or photographer).
The artwork agreement includes an assignment of the copyright in the work or works, in consideration for the payment by the publisher of a fee (not a royalty) to the artist. It also includes a straightforward delivery and acceptance procedure, and a full set of artist warranties.
